Russell Davies was born in New Zealand in 1945.
He has been writing novels from time to time since the age of 16, and his first published book "The cloning of Richard Mattacks" was published by The Dunmore Press in 1980, with copies still being available from the author.
In the 1970s Russell broke into the television comedy market, with many of his sketchs and jokes being produced for different television shows.
Russell has always liked creative writing, and his stories and articles have appeared in a variety of publications, including legal periodicals. |

His interests include writing, law, opera, pop music, gardening, wild birds and butterflies, voluntary bodies, knitting scarves, and humour.
After retiring from the Public Service in the late 1990s, he gained a Freelance Diploma in Journalism and made some contributions to magazines and local newspapers in Wellington, New Zealand.
