Jumping Sunday 2009 DVD
The Jumping Sunday was a civil rights movement that at one stage occupied Albert Park, Auckland.
The civil rights protest movement sometimes faced oppossition from the authorities but also attracted many supporters, which eventually lead to the institution of civil rights in New Zealand. The civil rights and human rights in New Zealand are enshrined in a non-binding Act of Parliament.
The DVD contains a commemoration event, held in Albert Park, Auckland, in 2009, including guest speakers of leading political figures that sprang forth out of the civil rights movement, and upon which their careers were originally founded.
